 entation of our special A250: A Deep Dive into the Declaration of Indep
 endence program series.\nWe are honored to welcome Dr. Antoinette Brim-B
 ell\, Connecticut’s 8th State Poet Laureate.  Dr. Brim-Bell will pres
 ent an original poem written specifically for A250: Declaration Deep Di
 ve that will engage with the ideals of the Declaration of Independence 
 in a forward-looking way\, particularly inspired by the tradition of ina
 ugural poems.\n\nDr. Brim-Bell is the author of three full-length poetry
  collections:  These Women You Gave Me\, Icarus in Love\, and Psalm of
  the Sunflower.  She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize for bo
 th poetry and essay.  Dr. Brim-Bell is a Cave Canem Foundation Fellow a
 nd an alum of Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation (VONA)\, and is a Pr
 ofessor of English at CT State Community College\, Capital.
